I know theres talk of the vatican offsetting carbon emissions , but thats only gonna be for the vatican and i imagine as soon as they drive a car outside the vatican its counted towards italys carbon emissions so a bit of a cop out i reckon.

I'm an Anglican, the Pope's membership of the Hitler Jugend is a bit of nonsense if you read your history you'll understand that those CHILDREN had no real choice in the matter.
I doubt also that the majority of Catholics (which is your real target) agree with him on this subject certainly not without something resembling a poll.
He is on shaky ground with the abuse cover ups, but the U.N knew about child sexual abuse by it's aid workers for years (everyone knew, I even talked about it on here) but only recently (a few months ago) has sought to act or admit to it, he's entitled to his opinion and others are entitled to diagree.
