I thought Zacmaster's intial response was a helpful starter. Common sense it may be- but most good answeres are common sense and you hadn't specified that you didn't want common sense answers.
I think it usually helps if you explain the context of a question- people can tailor the answers accordingly.
Anyway, in response to your question, I'm not sure whether there are such wholesalers who stock CDs. Do stores not order direct rather than via a middleman. You could try asking Amazon where they source their stocks from.
Good luck

I would be very surprised if you found one.
I used to work for a Company that supplied DVD's, CD's etc to organisations. We had two main suppliers that we used and checking their websites, both appear to have gone into liquidation.
The Company I worked for also withdrew from the market almost 4 years ago as the demand for such items was falling drastically each year due to people downloading stuff from the internet and not buying actual hardcopies.
Other than the 2 main suppliers, we also had accounts with the main record labels/distributors - Sony, Pinnacle, BMG etc. I think that will be the only way you can go now.

Oops, appears Pinnacle have also gone into administration...
