Mostest sore throat ever...

Hi everyone - please impart some advice. I have the mostest sorest throat ever, and a cough, and everytime I cough my throat kills :-( and I feel dead miserable. I have taken ibuprofen and paracetamol, had warm drinks, and used a horrible covonia throat spray, but nothing works. Please can someone suggest something. My hubbie has refused my request to shoot me...

Hi I have had something like this. The best cough mixture I was told to get was Robitusin for dry coughs. really works. hope you better soon, But please be warned this cough is never ending.!! Or so it seems anyway. xx

My dad gargles with TCP :)

Weleda cough drops are good if you can find some.

I always find hot juice, cordial made with boiling water and left to cool a bit, soothing.

You could try ice cream too? I'd say it's a damn good excuse for ice cream :)

Or jelly, in fact, vodka jelly, maybe you just wouldn't care then ;) not with other medicine though (in a vain attempt to put my sensible head on).

great, i really need three weeks off work now, seeing as i dont get sick pay...

i was hoping it'd go by tomorrow as family all coming round... but cough getting worse, making sore throat worse...

dont like ice cream, but i've always fancied a vodka jelly...

My mum used to give me an old Italian remedy.....thinly sliced onions.honey and lemon......all mixed together and left to steep for a while...then I had a spoonful or 2 every hour or so. Sounds awful,but I loved it,and it really soothed the throat.

pasta good be right there,they used onions for alot of ailments years ago!!!

I can't remember who, but someone on here said if you rub Vicks vapour rub on the soles of your feet, put socks on and go to bed - by morning the cough has gone!
