Name that hairstyle!

Not quite sure where to post this, so apologies if it's wrong, but we need to settle an argument before we all go totally insane!

We've just been watching the Wayans brothers in "White Chicks".  Can ANYONE tell me the name - if there is one - of the hairstyle which both brothers have in the film, where their hair is in tiny knots or knobs over the top of their head.  I mean when they're being themselves, I hasten to add, not when they're dressed up as white women!  If you haven't seen the film, Craig David (among others) has his hair (or used to) in the same style.  Nothing to do with films, I know!
