Well according to the footage they planted a flag up there somewhere, and i can't believe in this day and age of telescopic marvels that you can't look up and spy what's there. there should even be a lunar rover thing too. If satelites can spot what you're reading from however many miles away, then surely we must be getting close to seeing things on the moons surface. So it answer to your question. No I don't think it did happen.
I think that the Soviets were in such close competition they would have had the technology to track the mission. They would have exposed any fakery in a flash.surely. I do love conspiracy theories though.

Yes, it happened. This one's been around a while... as always, the place to go to for the truth about urban myths is snopes.com:

I like to think that it did happen - but there again I believe in Santa Claus - I also saw the prog. and honestly I just don't know.

I can't beleive people are still peddling this Horse***t. They do it so they can sell there "conspiracy theory" DVD's etc. The moon landings are their favourite. All the so called "anomolies" are explained here:

http://www.clavius.org/

Or if you don't want to look it up I'll explain any you ask for. Now can we get away from this ridiculous nonsense!

Rooser: the smallest item that can be resolved with the Hubble on the moon is 89metres square. To preemto your next though, it can see galaxies because they are much much bigger 50000 light years ish. It's not about distance it's about resolution.

So realistically, within the next thirty odd years once technology allows, we will be able to see the moons surface in enough resolution to detect whats on it.
I hope so then we can put this to bed!
When I watched Capricorn One it made me think that maybe the moon landings were a conspiracy theory after all.  But I don't really believe they were, I just found it an interesting notion.

Take the </P> off the end of the above link.

gingerflaps, I have no reason to doubt yir honesty so I for one believe you watched that programme.....

The best evidence that they went.

-They brought back rocks from the moon which are older than any discovered on earth.

-They left a reflector (possibly more than one), just like a bicycle reflector. From the McDonald observatory in Texas they fire a laser towards the the landing site and then measure the return beam. they use the information from this to gain precise measurements of the moon distance from earth.
