whenever i eat fresh spinach, it gives my teeth a strange texture. it really, really irritates me & generally results in me brushing my teeth as soon as we're done eating, but nobody else in my family has a clue what i'm talking about! does anyone else get this?
Yes, it's quite common apparently. My old chemistry tutor at college said it was the oxalates in the spinach leaves reacting with your tooth enamel. The more plaque you have the less likely you are to get the sensation - so... do you have cleaner teeth than the rest of the family?
