how do i get a code to reset a corsa 03 key fob

this may sound silly , but why do you need to reset your key fob?

because after changing the battery in the fob, it does not work so i have to use the key, i went into halfords and was told that the fob must need the code to reset it,

your luck you can start the car!! i seen a guy chane a key battery in an old megane and it wouldnt even start never mind open the doors!! first time ive ever seen a car drive into a garage and then be towed back out!!!

ah ok, i was going to say.... if it does not remotely open and close the doors (but just using the key in the doors does) then you may be able to sort the problem by putting the key in the ignition, switching the ignition on(without starting the car) and press the unlock button. This should make the key fob be able to lock and unlock the car again.
