I live in a new house (2 1/2 years old). A few weeks ago a bulb went on the landing. It's taken me ages to replace it because these bulbs are 3 pin energy savers which aren't available in the standard DIY shops.
I replaced it yesterday. Now the damn switch doesn't work. The one at the bottom of the stairs works, but the one at the top doesn't.
Has the bulb blowing (and it went with quite a bang) knackered the switch or is it something quite easy to deal with?
It's a double switch Knobby. The right hand works, but the left hand doesn't. Have just fiddled around with it and the faulty switch will move up and down, but doesn't fully click home and feels a bit spongy!!!!
I think I will have to call one of those electrickery people!!!!
