Tracing Pictures

There is an increasing number of competitions which ask the entrant to identify people locations. Has anyone ever seen a website which makes this possible? Words, phrases, sentences, paragraphs, quotes etc are easy enough to search for. But it seems, nothing for pictures. Is this beyond the realms of new technology?

my guess is this is exactly why the competitions are run: so people can't just look up the answers on the internet, as you usually can with questions about facts or quotations. There are plenty of image websites (including Google Images) but none that I know of in which you can key in the length of a character's nose or an arrangement of trees...
