Leg - my fortnight in GC didn't cost me that much - and I bought my flight to Tenerife for Feb last March, for under �90 return.

well i just searched on sky scaanner first fortnight in may cheapest flight in britain was from scotland then gatwick at 169 return


the companies have vastly increased the flight costs and the luggaeg checkin in costs and also the thread is about the increase by most travel companies of around 10% in holidays this summer

also best youll get in reef for money is 1.01 euros for a pound and thats los cris / las amaericas in outlying resorts far lower


check some flights ethel the companies have got very greedy

i met folk having to pay 500 quid one way after the xl collapse
since then the companies have exploited customers


you can go indirectly via dublin and sit for 8 hours between flights
not my idea of a holiday

and even then they only let you have 15kgs luggage sanme as thomsons

rip off

i think your flights may be more expensive , though solo travellers can sometimes get bargains

but a 3 year old wouldve paid 90 quid for ur flight too ethel

thats 270 quid
add 20 quid each way for taxi transfer
thats 310 quid
then an average apartment around 200 quid a week
thats 400 quid maybe 350

so for a couple with one child

thast 660 quid for a couple still 570


it is geting more expensive

well if all the tourists i hear moaningg in pubs are being honest?

pound going down is grst for us with the euro as we get more for our money and head up to the north to do our shopping. Long may it last
