How to dapple a rocking horse?

Ive just acquired a rocking horse which I want to renovate. Any idesa on how to dapple please .ta

use an aerosol so you dont get a sharp edge to the dapple..

You use a sponge, (a real one which shouldn't be too expensive, as only a small one is needed), and dab the paint on gently, where you want it to go. I presume you are wanting to dapple black on to white. With a sponge you will get a more realistic dapple with the small patches of white showing through. Spray paint, or cardboard templates will only give you a solid patch of colour, which won't look anything like natural dappling. Sponging is a tried and very successful method. Good Luck.
