I think nearby community centers in most cities will have detailed information that you seek. If you want to have the information in hand before you get there, then you could browse online. I've also checked this site called www.centerd.com which gives pretty detailed information about schools, hospitals, grocery stores and what you need with route maps as well. That could be your guide for now.
