I am not a particulary smalll person, either in the bresticles states or tummy states. ( i recently got into size 20 jeans), But i am in the process of losing weight. Anyway i went to get a new pair of exersize trousers from JJB the Ladies size XL apprently is a size 16. XL @ 16 what am i then, the assistant made me feel like i was a size 46!! I have to buy mens tracksuit bottoms apprently!! How flattering. - Anyone else had a similar experiance or can suggest where i can get some 'nice' exersize trousers from in a sixe 20/22, that don't make me look like a man or a hippo!

Why don't you just go to somewhere like M&S, they have a nice Leisurewear / Exercise range, which I think goes up to size 22. Also with the size shake up M&S did a few years ago, their cut is more generous than other brands.

Places like JJB will only really have a ladies range up to a size 16 and men's trousers will look awful, as they are much longer in the rise, to accommodate men's bits.
Have also found it better to shop online with M&S. Most sizes and lengths are in stock - whereas in the shops the sizes are more limited and the popular sizes get sold very quickly.
Have you tried Peacocks, they do leisure/sports bottoms and have got a sale on.

I was looking at a pair on Saturday, really nice too.
I am sure they do size 22.
lots of stores sell plus sized ladies wear, even asda sell tracksuits and leisure wear up to a size 26, other stores that stock plus sized leisurewear

BHS
evans
M&S
ASDA
Bonprix.co.uk

to name a few
ask the zoo, im sure they have clothes to fit elephants

Thanks for all your answers, hadn't really thought about M&S, and places like that, but i suppose they are worth a try.

Thanks too, to Gredosman for his comments, always helpful to have comments from the Kn*bs!
gredosman, thats not nice. I bet you're no Adonis yourself!

Hopey79 - also try tk maxx - they do all sorts of sizes, although their consistency is not always good.
also, evans do sportswear.
and the mail order company simply be are good too

good luck! and good luck with the healthier lifestyle too - you'll feel miles better for it i'm sure!
It would be wonderful to see what people like Gregosman looked like. I am imagining a spotty unattractive youth. No hope for some people!

Good luck Hopey. I find the quality of clothes in places like BHS and M&S far better than those of the trendy sports shops - where the goods are often much tattier.

Thanks again for your comments and your support is very much appriciated, I am doing well at the moment, with lots of excersie and do the SLimming world eating plan. I didn't put any weight on over Christmas, so was over the moon!! Lets hope its the same for New Year, find out on Wed.

This time next year - i will be fit, thin and Healthy!!
Got mine from m and s about 3 years ago and they still going and they have some nice ones in stock at the min
I'm a size 12 and go M&S-I hate JJB!
always found the same thing in sports shops like jjb, usually find mens fit me but the leg is too long. when i had to have physio and needed to be comfortable i got myself a couple of jogging bottoms and matching top from Next. they do larger sizes and you can order them instore or online if they dont have them.good look with your weight loss, you are doing brilliantly!
