Recording from Video tape to DVD

Hi,

I want to record stuff i've got on VHS video tape onto a region 2 DVD discs. Can this be done? If so what diff ways are there? how easy is it? what equipment would i need?and much approx. would i be looking at paying?

Any additional info you think i might need would be cool.

I believe you can use some software called Pinnacle Studio 9. With the demise of the VCR I am loathe to put any more on video tape and am looking into saving mine to DVD.

you don`t say what kind of video card you are using,but if it has vidoe in.you should have little problem putting vhs video onto dvd copy the required tape to hard drive and use nay of the conversion programs to tranform it into dvd format,many are available free on the net.you can then use copy2dvd to rewright the video to disc. I will try some vhs titles and check out if i hit any snags and get back to you with a list of programs required to complete the task.

or you can visit and try VHS to DVD and transfer your home video tapes to dvd. You can get a pretty good conversion at a reasonable price from a lot of places. But what are most of these companies lacking? Care and attention to detail! Other ways you get totally amateurish product done with domestic equipment.
