Hello....key....ignition.....turn!
in theory there is nothing that can affect the starting by touching the fanbelt....must have done soemthing else
hi there the car should still start with the belt or without the belt check to make sure that you have not knocked any wires of near the belt and check to make sure the battery is not flat regards john
I can't recall the set up on the Corsa, but if it is toothed and drives the camshaft too, you may have knocked the timing out.
mortar tube the question relates to the fan belt not the timing belt.
Does it crank and not fire or does it do nothing when you turn the key?

If no cranking you have a problem with connection to the starter motor. If not firing check the leads to the distributor.
