free gifts with womens magazines...imprtant question...

can anyone tell me if there is a magazine out at the moment or the past few weeks that has given away a scarf or pashmina, type thing as a free gift??

I'm sure I have seen one in Tesco's a couple of weeks ago.........but not sure which mag it was.
Why is this important?

i buy loads of mags a week and i did get a scarf free with one before xmas - sort of fine cotton/wool with fringe .

this one was kind of swirly pattened, thin and silvery and goldy and purple patterns...about 2ft wide and about 4-5ft long...

it came in its own flat plastic bag, same size as a magazine

sound the same?

it also had a fringey edge...but the tassley bits were about an inch long and about an inch apart

This is very intriguing joko - I am sensing that someone has been caught with said scarf and said it came from a magazine and you are trying to check out their story. Please let us know how it turns out. Apparantly there was a voucher or something for a free pashmina in september's Prima, would that be it?

ive just been having trouble with this guy... he claims he bought it from a market stall for me while on a break away...its wasnt for xmas.

however it was just something about the plastic bag it wa sin that made me think it was from a mag...and as hed been away with a load of aunties and step mum etc i wondered if it was from one of their mags

either way, im happy that he thougt of me ...but its just the lie...
also he completely ignored my birthday you see...so to just randomly buy me a gift just cos he went away for a few days seems odd
he was very nice to me when he got back tho...so ...maybe he has just realised hes been a bit of a **** to me...

i am hoping it just gave him time to think about things and he is trying to be nice and he saw these scarves an thought i may like it...it is my fave colour...and i know he did go to a market because he also bought insense holder... so i may be just being paranoid...

if it turns out to be from a mag...i prob wont say anything to him - a gift is a gift ... but its just so i know how much of a gesture he has really made...if that makes sense...
because of the probs i dont want get my hopes up that things are changing, if it was just given to me because his step mum didnt want it...you know...?.

god i hate to doubt him...but thats why i need to know..just so im not wondering

thing is, i do get why hed have said he bought it for me...its just nicer than saying, it was a freebie my nan didnt want or something.

it isnt an expensive item i dont think so i think he could easily have bought it for a few quid

Ahhh! That makes sense then - you do quite often get things in that kind of plastic from markets abroad - I bought scarfs and ties in that sort of slip in cellophane when i was in India - I am sure that it was with the best intentions regardless.

It doesnt sound like the same scarf I am afraid as this was plain.. I really do buy loads of mags and especially ones with any freebies being a tight devil and that is the only one I saw.
I would let sleeping dogs lie.
