I saw her and the three kids on This Morning...erm this morning...and they all came across as a lovely family who really really care for him. I agree with footle, I was always given the impression by the lovely media that she was an absolute cow but my opinion has been well and truly changed. My heart goes out to them all. I lost a friend who was 32 recently through alcohol so I hope he can get the help he needs.

Maybe she has been very careful with the money from when Gazza was playing football ie not been over extravagant. Plus over the years I have seen her in Hello! magazine spreads and she has done some modelling for the designer Isabella Kristiansen.

I wish them well.

Saw the documentary last night and thought that they came across as a very concerned and loving family. They wanted to genuinely help Gazza but he did'nt want to know -shame his younger son has such a bad opinion of his dad but Gascoigne was'nt there for him when younger so justified?
Saw Gazza abroad about a year ago playing for the England Legends football team against the Italians and he did nothing as he was allegedely drunk then! England lost 5-1

Although they came across as the caring family trying to help him, did it really need to be filmed?

It seemed to me that this was just a well planned stunt to get them an easy ride when Gazza pops his clogs this year

If they were that concerned they wouldn�t be doing all these interviews lately or taking fees for documentaries. They could at least give the fees to A.A or something. He�s probably as bad as he is because of being in the public eye, they have just made his troubles worse, the world doesn�t need to know. He is now fighting back in all the papers, another thing to take his time away from sorting himself out.

Without knowing any one of the family concerned, not one of us can know for sure what these people are really like, whether from a tv programme or a tabloid tale.
They could be genuine or they could be calculating who knows?

What we can understand is that having an alchoholic with mental illness in a family situation is very difficult and very depressing for all concerned especially children.

Very sad story and probably a very predictable sad ending.

Interesting (in a bad way for those about to be named) that we didn't hear of Gazza's (so-called) "friends" Danny Baker, Jimmy Five Bellies or Chris Evans offering to help him!

I thought Mason came across as a very level-headed young man. What made his actions/wanting a relationship with Gazza all the more commendable was the fact that the two aren't even bloodd relatives! Good on you, lad!

I watched it too puddi & thought she was a decent woman taking him back into her home, albeit on a trial basis.

Although Gazzer took her two children under his wing when they got together, it clearly showed he loved them like his own - along with their own son. It's such a shame the demon drink has taken over his life & that he's still on the road to ruin.

I do hope he manages to get through this & to enjoy watching their son & other children grow into responsible adults.
