I watched a programme last night where people tasted liquids and were able to find out what their diet was dificient in, depending on what they could taste in the liquid (ie if they could taste nothing there was a deficiencey). Is there anywhere the public can buy these kits or can it only be done by a dr?

Certanly, these kits are available at Hamley's or anyother trick selling shops.
The only legitimate way to check for vitamin and mineral deficiencies is to get a full set of blood tests done by a qualified medical doctor. The same goes for allergy testing.
I get so annoyed by people who think they can diagnose themselves by buying a kit from a health shop, even worse are the people who promote and sell such kits!!!
