I'm having one last attempt at getting the answers for the following clues - quiz sheet has to go in this week.  All answers are lakes.  Please can you help.

2.  Confident Expectation.

3.  Chew before the o.

I can't think of what "before the o" could mean HELP would come in handy somebody

I was working on a word ending in "O" (obvious) or "ring".  Another word for chew is more difficult.  Is the quiz a locally based county affair or are all the other answers worldwide?
