Hello: I'm a new, fledgling, member of the CIA posted at a secret place at 67 High Street, Newcastle-Under-Lyme. Is it true that you call side-walks 'footpaths', the front part of a car is named after some head-gear, and the rear end of a car is named after some type of shoe? I'm just trying to blend in......also what are these things in the highway called roundabouts: are they sensible and navigable?

You could be right, ter. But it's always fun to spray some silliness across the ocean....G'night.
LOL!!!!

No - side-walks are just paths aren't they? A foot path's just a litle path, jitty, ramblers right of way, etc.
Bonnet and boot? You're making me larf!
Roundabouts? What are they?!!! : )

Night stewey and everyone. xxxx
If you want to see roundabouts come to Swindon - they are everywhere!! There's no such thing as a T-junction anymore, it's all mini-roundabouts. Mind you The Magic Roundabout is a feat of engineering brilliance.
I am from Newcastle - I live in Trentham, and I'm wracking my brains to think what premises 67 is - are you going to put me out of my misery?
Americans have roundabouts (only in the north-east, though)
