Found out Wife is cheating
Could anyone advise on this painful situation, a friend of mine has been informed by his Wife of 22yrs that she no longer loves him, and she wants to separate, with all the 50 50 splits of house; his pension; and property that goes with it. He sadly agreed to this situation, and has finally accepted it, however he has since found out that she has been cheating with several people over the last few months. He now wants to know how this would affect the proceedings if he divorced her for adultery etc., and what the financial outcomes would be affected etc

The situation is complex, and a divorcing woman can be very bitter. You can go from (apparent) love to hatred in mere days. You really need a solicitor. Good advice is not to fight, but to concentrate on children and money, in that order. Don't waste any paper and legal fees slagging each other off. Morality doesn't enter into it. The situation is that 50% of a relationship wants out, blame won't achieve a better "settlement" or help the desperate unhappiness that is felt for years.
Best of luck, you WILL come through it.

Unfortunatley i went through a similar situation regardless of any personal matters between the pair a financial settlement has no real bearing on what lives the pair have led. Children and living costs will be taken into consideration when the court decides who gets what, Adultry would only really help his case if he was fighting for the rights of children
