You should aim to consume 2 litres of fluid per day - this fluid can be water, tea, coffee, pop, squash, fruit juice, hot chocolate and don't forget you get a lot of fluid from all the food you eat. It is a myth that you need to drink 2 litres of water:
"All drinks we have during a day, apart from alcohol, count towards making up this amount - including tea and coffee - and more than a third of our water needs comes from our food."

I drink water every day, simply because I like it and it quenches my thirst.
