Daylight Saving Time

Anyone know if there is a petition or campaign running to get the government to abandon Daylight Saving Time in favour of keeping British Summer Time all year round?

The dark mornings were also deemed dangerous for children going to school, another reason for it's abandonment. I'm with Hippy - If we go for a standard year-round time then let it be GMT. It may help my mate Bob who put his clock forward instead of back last Sunday and turned up to play football at 0700 instead of 0900 - no wonder he was knackered before we started... he he.
It's the way it's night by 4.00 that I hate. I read a quote from a debate in the House of Lords which said that it was ininately more preferable to know that daylight is a few hours away that to be working into total darkness. Scotland has it's own government anyway so it could keep spring and fall time. Also studies have shown that more children were killed in road accidents with the clock change than were killed in the mornings during the experiment.
