Criminal Damage

I have recently broken a window in temper, and i was arrested for criminal damage and told to report back to the police station in 1 months time, i paid for the window to be repaired staright away. i have only 1 other dealing with the police for common assualt where i was cautioned, does anybody know what the likely punishment or sentance is likey to be?

My son's friend recently smashed a shop window - he'd been drinking & then had a row with his girlfriend.
The lad paid for the window and wrote a very apologetic letter to the shop owner.
When he reported back to the Police station he was told there would be no further action taken.

write or visit the owner and appologise as the last post says at the most you will get a fine try not to worry
