There was the myth that after drinking pernod if you had a drink of water the next day you would be drunk again. Never saw it happen myself though mumof 3. Did it work on your friend?

i used to go fly fishing for sea trout, right beside the bushmills distillery! it's a great place....oldest distillery in ireland!

my friend wouldn't have drunk water Jan, she just drunk so much pernod that she'd have been drunk anyway from the night before! LOL!

hope they kept you supplied as you were catching or not?,
thats one of irelands unexportable things, the fantastic fishing, been all around the south, cavan,belturbet,lough ree, carrick on shannon,... hugh nets of bream and great piking.

Sounds like a good friend to have. A few years ago maybe, I couldn't drink as much now as I used to. Doesn't stop me trying now and again but the hangovers are so bad!

She is a good friend -although like you say she's calmed down a bit -haven't we all. 3 kids and hangovers don't mix very well.

lol, my parents live in the charente, just south west of niort so im used to drinking fine wines, cognac and pineau, along with great seafood, oysters mussels and langoustines.
