loss of power

my diesel car has no power for sometime then it kicks in then if I stop the engine then start again it looses power again

There are many things that can effect the loss of power shelt, Links to the Fuel pump, Air filters, derv filters, In-line fuel blockage, In-line pipes kinked, this weather, Frozen derv, Air in the system, Dirty Injectors, has it just started? when did it start? Timing, when was the car last serviced, is it turbo, (Split pipe) the ,list can go on if you can give some sort of indication how the problem started you may get the problem resolved.

i had this on seat toledo se tdi 2000 x reg. It was Air Mass Meter.

Air in the fuel. Check lines on the suction side of the fuel pump.

I put diesel redex in every 5000 miles it has only just started december it is serviced every 10,000 miles i have checked fuel lines and around pump

its a 2002 skoda octavia 1.9tdi

If i recall these have bosch air flow meters witch are prone to this type of problem and dont bring on a warning light
