House rewire

I am having a terraced house rewired. This involves a certain amount of drilling/ Wall chasing to replace the existing wireing. It is therfore noisy for short burst of time whilst this activity takes place.
The adjoining wall neighbour is a continuous nuisance trying to stop any work related noise at any time. Are there any laws relating to what is reasonable start time and finishing time before it is considered a nuisance or illegal, Also any laws stopping you carrying out this type of work at a week end especially sunday?

Idially very noisy work she be done between 8am and 6pm Monday to Friday, 8am to 1pm Saturday and not on Sundays.

This is the recommended time frame for very noisy work, it doesn't mean all work must stop outside those times. It would be unreasonable to carry out any noisy work after 8pm if it can be avoided.

This is not set down in law, but is the guidelines council use. The occasional Sunday would be acceptable but not if it was a regular occurrence.

To protect yourself, let your neighbour know this work is essential for safety reasons, tell them when it will start and when you hope it will be finished.

Thank you for your guidelines. I wish to be a reasonable about this essntial work and would not want to disturb other peoples environment or quality of living there
