If you do, do you use a sausage stuffer?

I've just ordered one off the internet. I hope it'll be worth the cash!

We make lots of wild game sausage here in the western U.S. The meat grinder we use also has a stuffer attachment. Couldn't do without it...

Thanks for your reply, Clanad.

I have a stuffer attachment on my grinder too, but it is such hard work to stuff the meat into the casings. My grinder is a small machine (350 watt).

I hope the separate stuffer will make the job much easier.
I use my kenwood mixer attachments mincer then sausage stuffer takes time but well worth it .Like you I have been looking at stuffers what type have you gone for ,have you tried sausagemaking.org fantastic site with a very useful and friendly forum

Hi joesdaddy,

I've ordered it on-line, it's an all stainless-steel vertical stuffer, holds 5 kilos of meat, from Biltonbox.com. My hubby and I have been thinking about getting one for ages. We were trying to find a review from someone who had one, but couldn't find one.

I've tried to copy a pic of it into this post to show you it, but it didn't work.

I found a couple of demonstrations on YouTube. Looks like a lot less work than we're used to! If you wish, I will post a link to show you the YouTube clips.

We have a Moulinex mincer/grinder, it's very small, and it takes ages to make the sausages. We find it difficult to thread the casings onto the tube, and we've had some bad skins (keep splitting or have pin holes in them) as the tube is slightly too big for the casings we prefer (sheep).

I've seen that website you've mentioned, and yes, I agree with you, it's great!
I have seen them before they look a good deal ,cheap enough and look really strong tempted my self. I think the owner of the Biltonbox.com. is a regular on the sausage making forum
