Petrol put in a Diesel engine.... Will Engine Flush sort this out?

Can anyone advise regarding petrol being put in a diesel engine? My Mrs has gone and had a blonde moment and done this. The tank was half full with diesel, and she has filled it to full, with petrol instead of diesel. The car has been driven about 3 miles, since that and now she's realised whats she's done, we've taken the car off the road. I just wondered if there is any way of emptying the contents of the fuel tank, or if its to late to do anything about it now, in which case we'll have to take the car to a garage to get the issue resolved.
Any advice gladly welcome.
....A friend suggests trying Engine Flush? Will this possibly be able to sort the problem? Many Thanks.

no, engine flush is put in along with the oil to disperse any build up of congealed oil and to make sure all oil pores and galleries are clear, totally different from the fuel side of things

Your car's fuel system must be completely emptied and flushed professionally at a garage. Serious damage can occur if it is driven.

Hi, can you sort the job out yourself? that is the cheapest option, It is not that big of a job, you will need Ramps (for the height to maneuver to start with)
