Yes, you are right Salla, and the video for 'The Beach' was filmed there too and lots of other things. And I can't think of a more awe inspiring beach.

we should all have a lincolnshire / norfolk chatterbankers picnic on holkham beach in the better weather. We can all run along it naked pretending to be Gwyneth Paltrow who is being chased by Leonardo di Caprio...

Two Norfolk beaches that I particularly like are Happisburgh and Winterton-on-Sea. Nice sandy beaches and not commercialised.

I am waiting for Daniel Craig to make a film on Holkham Beach and then I shall go and camp down there for the duration ;o).

Actually Holkham Beach does have a naturalist section - I came across it by accident once and will tell the story one day.......................
