Title race over?

Following Man Utd's dismantling of my beloved Blues yesterday, it is safe to assume that the Premier League title is staying at OT again? The bookies are still offering 13 to 5 against Chelsea winning the title. I would say more like 50 to 1 after that performance yesterday. As Benitez looks to be losing the plot, and with Arsenal and Villa already too far off the pace, it will take (I reckon) a "Devon Loch" type collapse from United to let it slip. I always thought this season could be the closest run for quite a while, with Man U just pipping Chelsea with Liverpool third. I now think Liverpool will be United's biggest threat, with Chelsea, Arsenal and Villa playing for Champions League places (and the way things are it could be Chelsea missing out).

With the teams at the top so close, i think it's far too early to say the season i over already.

Man Utd need to win their two games in hand to get back to the top - and there's no guarentee that will happen.

Still plenty of time to go before the season is over.....

I think it's all over.

There may be a bit of a scrap between Liverpool and Man Utd, but they've opened up a gap now, and I can't imagine them letting it slip.

Of course, far more important than who's going to win the Premiership, is ...

... can Brighton get a bit more clear of the relegation zone in League One ?

Yes, I know its still early, but Chelsea have been poor for some time now, so Liverpool look to be the only alternative to Man U, but when I look at the run-ins of the two sides, I know who I favour.

Man Utd have that toughness, and resilience. That could be the decisive difference when it comes down to the last few games.

The writing was on the wall for Chelsea after losing to Liverpool and Roma in short succession. No pace, relient on fullbacks to attack, trying to accomodate Deco and Ballack, a reluctance to blood younger players, defensive weaknesses unseen for 4 years, and until Sunday the manager was hyping up the away form - which is now irrelevent.
I can't see how Scolari will improve things and does it indicate how much of a factor losing Steve Clarke has been.
Even Spurs fans are taking the mickey now !

AS above it is still far to early to have one hand on trophy and for a nice change the disruptions are elsewhere.

I'm still not too quick to write off the pretenders yet though :-)

Games in hand are not points on the board.
