Piano Instrumental

I am also trying to find out what a piece of piano music is. It is used quite often during really sad bits of films and TV dramas. Can remember it used during a film/programme where someone is looking out of an upstairs window over the snow outside. It is classical music, a little similar to Moonlight Sonata, but much slower with sort of intermittent piano keys being played.

Sorry if this is a bit vague but any help would be much appreciated.

It could be Gymnop�die by Eric Satie, this has been used on lots of tv and movie scenes.

Or could it be this? I'm not sure of the title but I think it's "Spiegel im Spiegel" by Arvo? Beautiful piece.

Your description certainly seems to suggest his style so if this isn't the one, perhaps try searching Einaudi on YouTube to see if it might be one of his other compositions.

thanks for your answers. Helped me to find it on youtube as I listened to Moonlight Sonata and it was listed along side that.
