Turkey in May
My daughter and I are going to Belek in Turkey on May 10th for one week. I am prone to mosquito bites so always try and go on holiday early before they are really active. Anyone know what it is like in Turkey in May? or even better does anyone know if there is anything you can take before you go away to protect yourself?

It is not advertised as an insect repellent, but it works as one. Since I started using it I've only had one or two bites a year, as opposed to the 30 at a time I used to get!

I agree with spudqueen, Avon Skin so Soft does work, even the British army use it apparently! when abroad I mean... (flower power (:-)
If you like marmite take some with you and eat some every day, this deters them too.
I'm one of those that people loved to take on holiday with them so 'all the mosquitos are on me!' until I did this.

A health food store in my local market sells a bag of tablets for a few pounds that are supposed to be some kind of insect repellent. I have no idea if they work but I was told you take them a few weeks before you go so they have chance to build up inside you! Try asking at a health shop and if they work let me know because I suffer badly too!
