accident and other driver didnt stop

for a friend.... friend is insured third party f & t. someone drove into them and didnt stop and my friend didnt get the registration number. can he make any sort of claim or is that the end of it?

Oh I feel for your friend I really do. I dont think they can as I think they need '3rd party' details.
I remember coming home from work one day and my car had its bumber on road, no wingmirror and a big dent in side where someone had hit it. I was livid

yes I mean my car wasnt great anyway but the fact they didnt stop peed me off. Yer I wasnt at home but just to leave a note or take some of the bits off the road

Where did the accident happen? was there CCTV around? can you estimate the damage through your own damage of the other vehicle? ( Do you know what I mean by that Mandimoo?( I am not patronising you) If there was any paint left on your friends car you may have a chance to find the 3rd party. Good Luck.
