no idea i would just end up confused if someone said that to me

It is funny though don't you think? And could be argued to be correct without being racist, which I'm not.
i don't think anyone chinese would be to enthralled about being called a yellowbelly.

why is someone from lincolnshire called a yellowbelly anyway
Question Author
there are many varied answers to that - mostly relating to undercarriages....
Question Author
That is; undercarriages of newts and/or fogs; undercarriages of long wool sheep dragging their long fur through the pollen of mustard flowers; or a mail coach.

Or some say it is after the yellow waistcoats of lincolnshire military men.

I was always told by my dad, who knows everything cos he is a god, that it's because of farmworkers bending down in the fields with their backs to the sun - therefore developing suntanned brown backs but keeping white tummies - which reflected the corn, giving their bellies a white hue. I prefer that version......
well you learn somethign new everyday on this sight doncha

and yes in my op would be offensive if you ever you aimed the insult at actually understood it and didn't stand there looking at you like you've gone mad
Question Author
I shall inform Zacmaster forthwith that it would perhaps not be a good idea to go up to a chinaman and ask him this question then. I don't want to cause trouble.
lol, i kind of want you to just to see what would happen.....

Oh Zac what have you gone and said? I shall be tossing all night. Still, at least I can be tossing & thinking of you tossing, and vice versa.

I shall ask Albert tomorrow, without fear of offence because I do have something 'on him' since the Golf Club Ball back in 2001.

(I do prefer Indian, I must admit).

What rather than Welsh ??? LOL
