Jailed for life for murdering tiny baby son
10 Answers
Just read about someone who has been jailed for 'life' for murdering his new baby boy ! He has to serve a minimum of 11 years, which means even if he serves the full sentence he will be out at the age of 35 !!
His girlfriend, the baby's mum, was given a 2 year suspended detention !!
They will both be young enough to have more kids and do the same thing again. Why doesn't the time fit the crime ? It's an absolute joke.

This is what you get as an alternative.
Blame the people who say no.
Let him live in a nice cell with tv dvd palyer games consoles and pcs to use too,and the cost running into hundreds of thousands of pounds.
then in 11 years he will be out.
The alternative ?
BLOW HIS BRAINS OUT , ONE SHOT , WHATS THAT A FEW QUID?
I think i migth havehad a point eh ?

Look at the American model and you will see that the death penalty is not a deterrent.
Furthermore, administration of the death penalty is far, far more expensive than a life sentence:

Reinstating the death penalty in the UK is not simply a matter of Parliament agreeing to it and passing new laws - it is a complex situation involving the ECHR
