hehe better stop now in case i get labelled as a slightly obsessive fanatic freak...
What's interesting about everyone's opinions is that without exception they're all American programs - and I'm no different - I used to love Cheers, Hill street Blues, Twin Peaks, Northern Exposure, 6 feet under etc etc, So much for quality British telly - we're still playing repeats of Only fools and horses for gods sake.

Tonight 8pm C4. Yey!
I'm enjoying it a little less now, because instead of just laughing at the funny bits I'm trying to understand why someone wouldn't like this show! I think it is maybe open to some miscomprehension. Like in the way the french and americans sometimes don't 'get' british humour. Objectively, I would have to say in Friends they just identify particular human quirks and foibles, explore them, and observe them acutely well. Like
-long term 'on-off' love
-guys who might be half gay but aren't
-the angst of going from 20's to 30's
-what happens when your friend moves in on your ex
the list goes on. They just do it really well. Like today's evolution one...just brilliant. i've been in Ross's position on this loads, and so often the 'Phoebe' angle is used. First, the objector appears dumb, sets you up, then knocks you over at your own game.
I'm just worried I might run out of 'fresh' episodes. What the heck do I do then? Start watching 'Joey'?
