burgled! what would you do?
33 Answers
My Mum is on holiday in Tenerfie and i went round her house today to find she had been burgled! :-( They are away for a while yet so i didn't know what to do for the best as regards telling them.
I think i am going to leave it until about the day before they get home. I dont want them walking into that when they arrive home, it would be such a shock, and nor do i want to ruin the rest of their holiday! Then again, i wonder if i will just ruin the last day of their hol! I suppose its a no win situation.
What would you do in this situation and what would you want if it were you who had been burgled whilst away! Would you want to know?

My sis her hubby and new baby went on thier first holiday and thier house was broken into, tool box was out of the cupboard in bedroom and only one tool was missing, my bro inlaw worked with gas meters *old ones, this was 30 yrs ago* anyway, there was only one guy who knew about this tool and where it was, long story, meter was disconnected but no money cos it had been emptied just b4 they went on hold so the a$$hole got nothing , Police knew who it was but no evidence to charge, you'll never guess who's moved in downstairs from me AGAIN in 5 yrs.......yeah your right the housebreaker and having serious problems with him yet again , but to answer your question let them have thier holiday and break the news gently when theyre due to come home, best way i think
