I had a bit of a scare yesterday when we were sent an email to say our company (i work for a concession in debs) was electing to be sold from the group rather than stay and support the womens fashion brands it is linked to, it was abit of a worry til we analysed the situation and in fact it is a wise move, but for a moment there Cancun seemed sooooo much further away!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No one is immune. There's been quite a few closures round here recently, companies which have traded for many years. My job is always regarded as relatively "safe" but at the moment that is by no means certain.
I hope things don't go as badly as you fear puddi
Luckily the firm my BF works for have just landed a 2 year contract on the RAF base which starts in March. I've had a sh!t year so a big sigh of relief from me.
No chance, but if I did the government would have to pay me a whacking redundancy payment and an index linked pension both tax free & all funded by you wonderful tax payers. (Thank you ever so much).
currently working abroad but keeping in touch with the northern ireland news..everyday i hear of a place closing and people losing thier jobs..there are record numbers signing on for benefit and record levels of shoplifting, burglary and general theft.does anyone else think that if it gets much worse in the uk ,we will end up with civil unrest?
