I remember one receiving well over 5000 answers last year. We had a spate of questions regarding a Dublin radio competition and would receive the same enquiry over and over again from different people.

5000!!! I thought 40 was a lot.
Could we start trying for a new record with this Q ?
It wasn't "well over 5000".  It was exactly 5000, about 3000 of which were posted by me and one or two others in the early hours of Monday morning on 6th September 2004, just before the editor got back from the weekend to delete them all.  There was a competition on a radio station which had a prize of several thousand Euros, and very many idiots kept coming to this site to ask us the question in the competition - as if we (a) knew (b) cared (c) would be happy to tell them the answer in order for them to win the money instead of us.  Those of us who are reasonable and normal got into the habit of giving large numbers of surreal answers to the idiots who kept annoying us by asking the same question about the same competition.
that sounds like great fun!
At least the Marlboro contest is history!  What is a Colorado Mockingbird? must have had at least 500 entries, or so it seems...
Somewhere there is a question about God with hundreds of answers
Clanad Sorry for being a donkey, but  what is a  Colorado Mockingbird then?
I'd just like to say how much I like this thread.
Is a burro the same thing as a donkey ?
slim go on then.....
Where's Scooby.Im sure he would like to join in!!
Not sure, but there were about 80 + answers to a question about Prince Harry wearing a Nazi uniform to a fancy dress party, and about the same number for a question on the execution of the British man in Iraq.

I have had the best idea in the whole wide world*!!!!

Why don't we see how many posts this Q can get and also make it informative at the same time. If everyone was to post their age (or a rough estimate if your not keen on that) then we can get lots of posts and also work out the average age of the Aber (I'm at work and have lots of spare time to think about useless information, sorry).

*this may be a slight over exaggeration.

Good idea milly. But you would have to start it as a fresh question. I posted 'where do we all live' yesterday and come in this morning with 43 replies. I wasnt just doing it to rack up answers though, I am genuinely interested.
Give it a whirl!
