I'm rubbish with Hairstyles!!

Can any of you girlies out there help me?! I have long hair, which is about 3 inches past my shoulders. I am soooo bored with what I do with my hair!! I either have it down (natural / straight) or in a pony tail. I need some new ideas!! But you have to know that the reason I only have these 2 hairstyles is cos I CAN'T do anything else!! A simple plait is beyond me!! Do you have any styles I can try out that are easy? Please help!!

Im the same my hair is long like yours and i normally wear it down or in a pony, i do sometimes wear it in a bun which looks quite smart or in a twist with a clip but i have to have a huge one as i have so much hair. My friend recently did it for me with a bit of a quiff on top into a pony at the back which looked really cool but it was for a night out.

I recently had some curling tongs for my b'day which i have had a go with which is a nice change but more for speacial occasions. i wear it in plaits when its wet sometimes so when its dry it comes out wavy, i just pull some serum through it so it doesn't look fluffy. Good Luck...

Yeah I did Milly1984!! I had it cut like it on Saturday, so thanks for that!!!

With the new haircut though, i still am going to want to do different styles with it, its that what i am bored of, not my actual hair itself!!

That's a nice funky style! Try buying some of those spiral curlers, that effect looks good on long hair. Or do the plait idea as already suggested. I think long hair looks good twisted in a ponytail and clipped up near top of head with hair poking out of clip, if you get what i mean?

when i can't be bothered to straighten i put it up in a messy bun. Just get your hair, twist it and wrap and then stick an elastic band around it. It doesnt matter if it looks messy cuz thats the point. Itll look good with the fringey bits. Also try clipping back the front section of the hair back. you could do a variasion on the pony and not pull it all through, leaving a kinda loop. Hope this helps!

indian - I have a kind of loop with a handle, which turns a pony tail inside out. I do this with our Grandaughters & it looks really nice & keeps them tidy!
