Reliability for Siphon Overflow Box - Reef System

Hi has anybody used this method in place of a drilled tank? I have looked at the Schuran Overflow box but I am slightly concerned about the reliability of water flow and the possibility of flooding. Cheers, David

I am looking into altering my tank at the moment to hold a sump and an overflow will be the way I go.
