Hedgehogs like to eat them so they form a valuable part of the food chain
....and they make snails realise how lucky they are to have a home .
Heyy bigmamma - good to see you
xx
Awww - homeless snails, that's sad if you look at it like that
i used to think that about wasps, vicious little thugs, but then i found out they eat greenfly so they aint so bad now lol
French would go hungry!
What would pour salt on if there were no slugs?
^ we
Would it be wrong if I said my boys quite like to watch them shrivel up when I put salt on them. Sorry we have loads here and I can't stand them. Stood on one once when I was wearing flip-flops and it squished over the top and onto my foot. Since then they give me the creeps and I get the salt out as soon as I see one.
waves to bensmum...

As you can see I'm a bit bored so I have resorted to questioning the existance of invertebrates, namely slugs.

I don't which is worse, stepping on a slug or stepping on a snail. I don't really want to waste my sea salt on a slug though.
apropos of nothing much - bats eat midges
slugs are underestimated.
my friend and i had a snail vs. slug vs. tortoise race...
guess which one?
They provide hours of fun if you put salt on them and also they feel hilariously funny if you tread on one with bare feet as i have done!
CRUELTY TO SLUGS!!!!
Save the slugs from unrulyjulie!!!!

(The slug won the race btw.)
I wouldnt do such a cruel thing myself of course QOA! No, seriously, i wouldnt and never have! Equal rights for slugs i say!
