wallpaper adhesive

Can anyone please tell me why my wallpaper border won't stick?? I even made it thicker so I got more "sticking power" All suggestions gratefully received, but please keep them clean !! LOL

Don't use ordinary wallpaper paste on borders, buy a border paste or a tub of PVA adhesive to stick borders on.

Ah ha, I looked at some of that and decided against it !! Ok thanks raysparx1. Done enough for today, will go Monday !!

Hi STEPHJ17, should have said earlier if they have the PVA, go for that, it is the same stuff as the proper border paste, but is usually quite a bit cheaper mainly because it is not marketed as being for any particular use. good luck, Ray

Also when putting onto border make sure you put the adhesive right along the edges as well as in the centre etc.

And make sure you wipe off any excess adhesive with a wet sponge/cloth as you go as you won't be able to when it dries. Good luck, STEPHJ17
