Did anyone used to watch Vision On occasionally like me? The presenter and artist Tony Hart died yesterday at the age of 83 years old.I read that he was so ill that he couldn't even use his hands to draw anymore. I find that really sad.He lived to draw, and he loved to draw. What a fine artist he was.Very clever man. I also liked his small sidekick Morph.I loved to watch Morph make a nuisance of himself. Here are the links in tribute of Tony Hart........

I don't remember him in Vision On but I used to watch Take Hart when younger. I loved Morph.
Supremely talented man - made art look so easy but at least it encouraged children to have a go. I used to watch both Vision On and Take Hart

Ooh yes,I forgot to mention Take Hart.I used to watch that as well.I can draw quite well, but it's trying to find the time that's the problem.
As for Morph,he's a right mischievous little sprite isn't he!!
Heh,heh,heh......
I liked the music when they viewed The Gallery.
Childrens TV then was much better than the ones we have today. Those were the good days then eh!!
I wish I had a quarter of his talent.

When you think about it Morph was probably the precursor for things like Wallace and Gromit
thats sad. i remember take hart ,,,,and morph
Question Author
Yes,it was in a way Rosetta.
Take a look at the ricky Gervais interview in my thread.
The animators that created Morph also created a character for Vision On called Aardman and they named their company Aardman Animation after that character. They were later joined by Peter Park and Aardman went on to animate Wallace and Grommit.
I hadn't realised that it was from the same stable though Nick Park joined later imhotep

I have to confess, I find Ricky Gervais very irritating, hence the reason I missed the clip first time round.

Tony comes over as a very unassuming guy Loved him to bits
Peter Park wasn't up to scratch so he was ditched in favour of his much more talented younger brother Nick....<cough>
Thanks TCL I didn't Know that
Tony hart will be missed, he was incredible to watch sometimes, his death is a great shame. also Morph was truely a institution for my childhood, though what everyone forgets is Chad, morphs friend, who died of a drugs overdose 5 years ago after being forced to work as a pimp because of the lack of recognition...

truely tragic
LOL@ Chuck
Think you'll find that Chad was the jealous brother of Chas. Chad had the operation and became a Play-Doh model...
LOL @ TCL. yes Chad was Chas's brother

damm for not checking that one

:)
Not nude TCL? shock horror

Hmmm,I saw very little of Chad.I guess he was the shorter friend of Morph.
Oh well,I have to pop off now.I want to finish off a crossword I left earlier. So it's a very short stay on AB tonight for me.

I hope you have a good week ahead.
