Whats the largest bill you've ever had.
By a bill that could be for your self or business, but not a mortgage as that's technically a loan and not a bill in the sense i mean.

Does that make sense?

it would not be hard to find out what happened to it if it was bequeathed to your ancestors, the wills would likely be in the Perogative Court of canterbury as I imagine they had property in both the Archdeaconry of York and the Atchdeaconry of canterbury, as most landed families did up to 1857

Pru???? I beg to differ here. The Dukes of Devonshire, who still own Chatsworth House, were by far the greatest landowners in Derbyshire, and as I'm sure you know, Bess of Hardwick moved there from Bolsover Castle in 1549.
Your ancestors are now spread around the country - and abroad, but basically, the Eyres became penniless about 100 years or so ago. I have no idea what happened to your fortune, but knowing the Cavendish family...could probs find out for you.
