Idiot son - yet again
56 Answers
This morning I waved my son goodbye at the train station as he headed back to Leeds Uni. He had to change trains at York on his way. Mr O has just had a phone call from our boy....who is now wandering around Newcastle train station.
I despair, I really do.

leggy.....I agree entirely....it would seem that to be a good parent now is to laugh, pity and understand their children's failings.
Parents would not give up their child to the police if they knew that they were involved in crime...........I would "shop" mine.
TV ....mother comes on stating that her son would never rape or kill ANYONE........later convicted and sent down....son, not mother.
Like you leggy.........I despair.

I despair also of some of the no-mark scallies that are around these days - & unfortuantely there are too many of them who have not had guidance & discipline instilled in them by any parent(s). However - there are also a lot of good kids around who have been brought up 'proper' and do have respect. And I am proud to say that my 2 kids are amongst the latter group, as I am sure are Mrs_o's.
Oh Squaddy, don't be so bl00dy serious!!! Just a bit of fun you know.
I never coddled my son - he wouldn't have let me. Independent from almost day 1. He left home long ago - at the first opportunity, has travelled world wide (from the age of 16) (and no doubt got lost a few times) works hard and runs his own home successfully. I'm proud to be his mum in fact.
I was in fact criticised when I let my son travel like he did at such a young age.

sqd the murder thing gallls me .
dont start me on that i had that debate at the time of young rhys jones murder and was shocked to read that some users here would cover up their child murdering someone elses
i guess that tells you all you truly need to know about a person and their morals.

salla.....I agree with you comments.
My point is that a teenager has difficulty in reading station notices and the female response is "bless his little heart, how sweet and endearing" wheras the male response, well myself and leggy is.....he needs a b0llocking.
I have done more stupid things than you have had "hot dinners" but I got and deserved.......a b0ll0cking.

Mrs_o enough is enough and you have taken your fair share of stick, let Dad give him a b0llocking and move on.
As he is going to Uni. studying medicine I gather that he is in either the 1st or 2nd year in which case he will be disecting. I did one year as a Demonstrator in Anatomy and believe me it is tough for the lads. B0llocking will become part and parcel of his training, so be proud of him.
Good luck to Idiot son.
