I have received a call today from a company named Pheonix First they have told me I have won a holiday for 2, even 4 if I wish and can be taken anytime between now and July 2009! I firstly have to go to a presentation in Aberdeen on 13th January so they can give me my destination choices! They told me I won the holiday from a competition I entered at The Scottish Home show in October. At this time my sister also entered the competition and gave my phone number as she was in the process of moving home at the time! About 1 hour after they called me today, they called again and asked for my sister in name...I asked who was calling and they said Pheonix First....what a load of nonsense making me believe I was the only winner...when they are obviously giving all those that entered the competition a sales call....after reading the postings in answerbank regarding this company.....I will be one person who will not be sucked in by those CON merchants....and hope that many others like me will not be sucked in either....I am saving my money for a holiday with a reliable company that will not hassle me to part with huge amounts of cash which I dont have in the first place!!!

Thanks for the reply....I asked them if this was timeshare and their reply was they own nothing in bricks and mortar......still not convinced with that reply and thanks for the warning...will definately not be going to their presentation, I would waste my petrol on the journey!!

I Worked In Phoenix First And THey Also Told Me That They Were Not A Timeshare Company although They Also Told Me
That I WOuld Get A FRee Holiday After Being Two Weeks INto The Job.... Didnt Happen And I FOund Out They Were A Timeshare Company... They Are A Scam Not Just With Their Customers But Also With Their Employees... They Took Tax Out Of My Wages and I Was Only 16... And If I Learned Correctly Thats Not Aloud... But Yes They Are A Scam And Dont Accept Any Holidays They Offer because You HAvnt Won A Holiday For Free YOu End Up Having TO SIt THrough A 3 Hour Presentation Of Someone Telling YOu How Good It Is... Then WOnt LEt YOU OUt THe Door UNless YOu pay Money... I Think Thats What Happends Anyway... Oh Another Thing THey GEt THeir NUmbers Out Of The Phone Book Which I Thought Was A Wee BIT illegal
And Convince You That The Shopping Centre Closest To You, Which You Have Obviously You Have Been Into at Some Point, Had A Stall That You Signed Some Peice Of paper At, About 3 YEars Ago... And Of Course Your Suppose To Remember.. Nothing They Say Is True...
