my partner grabbed me from behind and pulled my hair the police got involved and now he is being charged with battery he is due incourt on monday i have been to the police station to retract my statment as he has moved over 300 miles awat and wont be in contact again but the said the are still pressing charges what will happen to him will he go to prison

hi eddie thank you for your answer , have only had a few nice answers everone else had seemed to have mocked me for me rining the police on being pulled backwards and him grabbing my hair the fact is i had my 15 week old son in my arms and was terrified on what could have happened

Gingas should be approached with extreme caution, as they can call in police at the drop of a hat for things like being looked at the wrong way or being jostled in a queue; let alone having their hair pulled!
