It's okay I found the answer myself. For anyone else interested it's Keine Melodien by Jeans Team. I just realised I had it on my Too Many DJs CD. :D

i have been searching for this song. the car is irrelvant but i love this song. i have never heard of the singer or group, so i will have a look for more detail.

i am also a big fan of Too Many DJs - i just loved it when he put Dolly Parton's "9 to 5" song in one of his mixes. happy times... no subtlety if you put Dolly Parton into the mix !

Completely agree with the 9 to 5 mix, it's brilliant, and I don't even like Dolly Parton! Just a great CD.

When the ad for Golf VW came on I knew I knew the song but didn't know where from, so posted the question. It wasn't until about 10 mins after I realised where I'd heard it but I thought I'd post the answer in case anyone else was interested. :D
